Ready for some fun? How about a new sofa? Well, we’ve got both. That’s right – we’re having our first Ugly Sofa Contest! How’s it work? All YOU have to do is submit a photo of your ugly sofa that needs replacing. Next, we’ll put them all on Facebook and have the world vote for the ugliest of them all. The winner gets $700 in store credit towards the purchase of a new sofa! What could be easier? Here’s the deets:
1. To be eligible, you must live within 50 miles of one of our Suburban Furniture stores.
2. You must like and share this status.
3. Send in 2-4 photos of your sofa to email@example.com. Be sure to include your name and contact info in the email!
4. Entries accepted through 8/25/16. The earlier you enter the earlier the world can start voting for your UGLY SOFA.
5. Voting open from 8/25/16 to 9/05/16.

No Restocking Fees for Stocked Items! Shop with confidence at Suburban Furniture with our Hassle Free Returns on In Stock items. Stock items are items we stock in our warehouse and are as EXACTLY shown in our showroom. If, within 30 days of receiving your in stock merchandise, you are not totally satisfied with your purchase, return it for a full refund of your merchandise total plus taxes on the merchandise. Delivery fees to and from your home are non-refundable.
If you re-select new merchandise, we will waive the pick-up charge. New delivery charges will apply on your new purchase.
Returns of Special Order Items or Clearance. Special order items are those on our website not stocked in our warehouse and/or items not as exactly shown in our showroom. If, within 30 days of receiving your special order or Clearance merchandise, you are not totally satisfied with your purchase, return it for a full refund minus a 30% restocking fee. Delivery fees to and from your home are non-refundable. Allow us to help you re-select new merchandise. For that, there is only a 10% re-selection fee plus new delivery charges. If the items you re-select are of lesser value, you will receive a store credit for the difference. There are no returns or re-selections after 30 days of receipt of your merchandise.
Returned merchandise must be in its original, unmodified, undamaged condition with all its parts. If you picked up your merchandise and are returning it, it must be carefully wrapped to avoid damage. We will contact you if there are any issues with your return. Refunds are processed within 72 hours of your merchandise being received back in our warehouse. For your security, we do not keep your credit card information on file. We will need that info to process the refund. In the event you paid by check, debit card or cash, you will be issued a check.

Come join us Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 5:30pm-8:30pm, to hear John D. Bassett III of Vaughan Bassett Furniture speak about keeping manufacturing in the USA and saving American jobs. He’ll also be signing copies of the New York Times Best Seller “Factory Man”, written by Beth Macy, which chronicles history of the Basset Family and their rise to domination of wood furniture manufacturing in the USA throughout the 20th century. It also addresses American furniture manufacturer’s brush with extinction as global capitalism led to outsourcing and the massive loss of 73,000 jobs, as well as the crippling of many southern furniture towns. It finally details John D. Bassett III’s years’ long Capital Hill fight to save these American jobs from Chinese takeover. The book is getting special treatment as Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman plan its production as a miniseries for HBO.
Books will be available for a discounted purchase of $20. All proceeds from the book sales will go to the Dean Michael Clarizio Cancer Foundation, a New Jersey charity, and Suburban Furniture will be matching the donation to the foundation. Also Vaughan Bassett Furniture will be giving away a bedroom set valued up to $2000. All non-furniture attendees will have a chance to win!
